Platinum Bars are crafted using 4 Platinum Ore at a Furnace and are an alternative for Gold Bars. Crafting all Platinum items requires 233 Bars, or a total of 932 Ore. Crafting only the weapons and defense armor will require 153 Bars, or 612 Ore.
